Niecy's Slow Cooker Carnitas

INGREDIENTS:

3 pounds of pork shoulder 

3 tablespoons of Niecy's Original Blend Seasoning

1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano 

1/2 teaspoon of coriander

A dash of cinnamon 

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups of chicken broth

1 lime squeezed

1/2 a small orange squeezed

Olive oil

RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS:

Put all ingredients together and mix well in slow cooker. 

Slow cook for 8-10 hours, occasionally stirring and coating meat in liquid. 

Once fully cooked, drain liquid, shred well, and enjoy! 

My thoughts:

This meat has so many delicious uses! I like to say this is my Chipotle Carnitas copy cat recipe, because it tastes just like it! You can eat it in a burrito with refried or pinto beans, in hard taco shells, with flour or corn tortillas, as a protein on a salad, or on a bed of rice, served with beans and salsa. You can‘t go wrong with carnitas! 🤤 So good!
